What will receive as part of the Lou Mitchell's franchise system?
You or your operating partner and your key kitchen and management staff will receive training at our corporate location for up to six weeks. You will also receive up pre-opening help at your own location, for up to three weeks. You will have access to all Lou Mitchell's trademarks, approved suppliers, and our exclusive recipes and operational tools. And, we'll provide you with a copy of our confidential operations manual to help you run your business effectively.

What type of prior experience do I need to have?
We expect the franchise owner or a business partner to have adequate restaurant operating experience. However, we will provide the tools and training you need to run your own Lou Mitchell's restaurant. We do, of course, expect that you have the right amount of capital to invest in the franchise.

How much will the Lou Mitchell's franchise investment cost me?
The estimated required investment ranges from $888,282 to $1,328,492. As with any new business venture, it's important that you have the capital needed to fund your new business.

Are there ongoing fees paid to the franchisor?
Franchisees will be required to pay royalties on revenues. These fees allow us to fund our ongoing support services and the continued development of new recipes, procedures, marketing tools, training programs, and systems upgrades.

Are there any advertising fees?
Franchisees will be required to spend at least 1.5% of revenues per month on local marketing. Franchisees may also contribute up to 2% (but starting at 1.5%) of revenues toward a system marketing fund. Funds are used to develop marketing strategies to promote the Lou Mitchell's brand and fund the creative costs to develop local franchise marketing materials.

Is financing available?
No, we do not offer direct financing to franchisees. We may be able to provide references to qualified financing or lending agencies, on a case-by-case basis.

What is the term of the franchise agreement?
The initial term of your Lou Mitchell's franchise agreement is fifteen years, with three subsequent five-year renewal terms.
